i think i like to fixate on bad scenarios when im anxious but like, that includes fictional ones? Like part of the reason im curious about pact is because im really scared about upcoming work meetings and, I think as a consequence, it's really satisfying to read the wiki pages about the abyss and the bogeymen. ANd I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time i've done this, like ive read a lot of these pages before, i think for the same reason

To be clear: Pact is really good, it is good. But I don't "like" to fixate on bad scenarios, I "like" to be fixated on them so I can write them as a distraction, not so I can "fixate" on a good thing.

(On the other hand, I have this other thing where when I'm anxious and reading bad-scenario-fanfic-style stuff about [X], I will have an urge to "look away," which I then find very frustrating. So I think there's a clear distinction there, too.)

ysee frank is not a person but also this is a reasonable take to have abt pact and is similar to my take on reading wildbow works in general
